Objectives
Describe body functions.
Explain the body systems.
Identify major organs and bones.
Lab Activities
1.) In groups you will be choosing a body part or system and making a model. Be sure to label all parts.
2.) In groups you will be dissecting a frog.

Cell Biology
Objectives
Describe the general structures, functions, biochemistry and diversity of cells.
Describe levels of organization.
Apply laws of classical genetics and the principles of chromosomal inheritance to problems of genetic differences in individuals.
Explain the general functions of DNA and RNA.
Identify career opportunities in the biological area.
Lab Activities
1.) In assigned groups pick a plant or animal cell. You will construct one out of desired materials and label all organelles.
2.) In assigned groups you will construct a DNA strand and label all the parts.
3.) In assigned groups you will be extracting DNA from strawberries.
4.) In assigned groups you will be using electrophoresis to learn about forensic DNA fingerprinting.

First Day Of Classes!
Welcome all! Today we will introduce ourselves and go over what is Biology.
Introductions:
1.) What is your name?
2.) What are your future plans?
3.) What do you hope to learn or get out of this class?
Biology is the natural science that involves the study of life and living organisms, including their physical and chemical structure, function, development and evolution.

Welcome
Welcome to The Bio Buzz! This year we will be learning a lot of new concepts and learning how to apply them in the real world. Can't wait to get this year started.
